Breeding

The minting of our Gen 3 Baby HODL Whale NFTs will make use of a breeding mechanic, which requires a male (Gen 1) and female (Gen 2) whale to create a baby over a period of 14 days with only 750 Baby HODL Whales in total. As we aim to reward the diamond-handed HODLers in our community, Baby HODL Whales can only be minted through this process using two parent HODL Whales and KRILL.

Rarity

The rarities of minted Baby HODL Whales will be significantly influenced by their parents. Typically the baby will receive the same traits as their parents, with an equal probability of receiving the male or female’s. In rare cases, however, the baby will have a unique “mutated” trait or lack such a trait entirely. The probabilities of each trait can be seen below:

“None” refers to the probability of the Baby HODL Whale not having the corresponding trait. This only occurs with the Hat and Mouth traits, while a baby will always have a specific variant of Eyes, Type, and Background.
